Washington Invitational - Girls Weekend
The Washington Invitational is a new youth soccer tournament created by Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association and Chesterfield United. The Washington Invitational will replace the previous Fredericksburg Cup. The Washington Invitational will feature a Girls and Boys weekend, scheduled for August 17 & 18, 2013 and August 24 & 25, 2013. Matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday for those weekends. With divisions for all levels of play from Classic to Elite, the Washington Invitational will host games Saturday through Sunday and features top-class facilities with access to some of the best natural grass and synthetic turf fields. In each division, teams will compete for the prestigious Ultimate Cup, with finalists also being honored with a mini replica trophy. The joint venture between Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association and Chesterfield United replaces FASA’s Fredericksburg Cup tournament, and is expected to draw hundreds of teams from across the East Coast and millions of dollars in resulting economic activity. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to be scouted by collegiate coaches from throughout the east coast
